Hey Everyone!

Hope ya'll had a good weekend. Mine was so-so. But January is almost over and February is almost here and we have only 3 days to go till GU!

K, so I've got lots of INFO for you regarding our upcoming ROADTRIP to south of the border, good ole U.S. of A.! I didn't see most of you this weekend so I wasn't able to give you all the Info Sheet...and that is the reason for this email, which is going to be kinda long, but please read it through completely and let me know if you have any further questions about anything.

So let's get started...

This bit is mostly for your parents to read:

Generation Unleashed is an annual youth conference held at City Bible Church in Portland, OR, USA. Thousands of young people gather together for a time of intense worship and challenging messages from the Word of God. Your cost for attending Generation Unleashed 2006 is 100CAD which is inclusive of registration fees and meals. We want to offer every child a chance to attend regardless of finances. The following is a detailed information sheet; please read through with your child and plan accordingly. And please remember to pray for us as a group as well as for your child that he or she may experience God and His transforming power in their lives and also for safety in our drive both to and from Portland and all activities planned for the weekend.

Here's the important part:

THE PLAN

Please arrive at Delta Pentecostal Church on Thursday, February 2nd at 10am. PLEASE EAT A HEARTY BREAKFAST PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. We will begin our drive as soon as everyone arrives, forms have been collected, and money received. DON'T BE LATE!

We will drive down to Portland, stopping for lunch in Washington (specific city to be decided), and upon arriving Portland, will go straight to the church to refresh ourselves and get ready for the evening service.

After the service, the boys will retire with Ashish in the Portland Bible College dorms and the girls will drive to the home of the Dominguez family, with whom we are staying. Friday begins early with breakfast at 6:30am and leaving for the church around 7 or 7:30am in order to beat morning rush hour. We will not return to the house during the day. There will be two general sessions and several workshops which we will ALL attend. Lunch and dinner will be provided. After the evening service, we will retire to our respective places.

Saturday, breakfast will be at 7am and we will leave for the church shortly thereafter. The conference ends on Saturday at 1pm after which we will all go out for a meal. Events for Saturday night are TBA.

Sunday morning we will worship with India Full Gospel Church and begin our drive back after eating lunch, likely after 2pm. When we arrive at the US/Canada border, you will receive a call from us so that you can begin to leave from your home to pick your child up. Promptly pick up your child from Delra Pentecostal Church. We anticipate our arrival to be around 9pm.

BORDER INFO

We will be crossing the Canada/US border on our trip down and each child will need the signed letter of permission from their parents (which was pre-written and distributed) and also travel documents.

If CANADIAN citizen:

• your passport

If NOT Canadian:

• your passport
• visa for US entry OR
• Canadian permanent resident card

WHAT TO BRING:

• Bible
• Notebook and writing utensil
• An open heart
• Sleeping bag and pillow
• Toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, and other toiletries you need
• Comfortable and modest clothing

PLEASE PACK LIGHT!

Spending Money (Optional) : $20-$30 ...there will be books, videos, CD's and stuff to purchase at conference. And Saturday Night we will have some fellowship time with the youth of Portland and will do something fun together.
